Sports Hall Activities
Family Roller Skating
A roller skating session in a safe, fun environment suitable for juniors. Please feel free to use your own skates and pads as the centre only has limited skates and pads available for hire.
Walking Football
A slower-paced version of the sport for participants who enjoy the social side of sport as much as playing. These sessions will help improve your fitness, health and wellbeing and you don’t need brilliant football skills to join in, just a desire for fun and enjoyment.
Badminton – 55mins Sessions
A game with rackets in which a shuttlecock is hit back and forth across a net. It`s a great way to get the blood pumping and a game that’s fantastic fun to play with friends.
Adult Beginners Pickleball
Ideal for players who are at the following ratings and ability: 1.0 Player is new to pickleball, learning scoring and the rules. They can hit a number of balls with forehand, but have a hard time playing games as rally’s are not sustainable yet. 1.5 Players can keep short rally’s going but fail to return the ball. Players have played a few games and know how to score the game and some basic rules. Players are learning to serve with accuracy and developing their forehand. 2.0 Players have started to learn to judge where the ball is going and can sustain a short rally. Players are working on improving their strokes. Players are able to score and are familiar with court positions for double’s play. Players may still be reluctant to go to the net. 2.5 Players are able to sustain longer rallies, and can use the backhand more often. Players are beginning to use dinks and lobs but don’t fully understand when they should be used. Serves are becoming reliable and knowledge of the game is improving, with court coverage improving consistently.
Table Tennis – 55mins Sessions
An indoor game, similar to tennis, played with small bats and a ball bounced on a table divided by a net. Tables are available for casual hire.
No Strings Badminton
Enjoy some ‘you time’ on a badminton court – time to socialise, to de-stress, to keep fit, to compete, to challenge yourself. Whatever your reason for joining like-minded people on court, No Strings Badminton is Badminton England’s hugely popular, instructor led ‘pay and play’ initiative that continues to delight players. Designed to suit around your schedule, you’ll come off that court feeling fantastic whether you’ve won, lost or drawn. It’s a weekly appointment you’ll want to put in your diary and keep.

Squash is a fast and furious sport in which you use a huge amount of energy compared to other sports. It`s hard work, but playing it regularly can be fantastic for your health. It`ll also help increase your strength and flexibility, particularly in your back alongside your hand-eye co-ordination, overall agility and help you maintain a healthy weight
