An independent accessibility audit recognised a number of positive features already in place across our centres, alongside our ongoing commitment to continually improving accessibility for all visitors.
Accessible Parking and Arrival
We offer accessible parking bays in both of our car parks, helping visitors get closer to the facilities they wish to use. For added comfort at Active Lifestyles Stroud, seating is available along routes to the main entrance, providing opportunities to rest where needed.
Our centres are designed to make arrival as calm and welcoming as possible for all visitors.
Accessible Reception and Customer Support
Our reception areas include a lowered counter, providing a comfortable and accessible point of contact for customers who may require it. Our friendly team are always available to offer assistance, answer questions and help visitors make the most of their experience.

Taking a break and enjoying refreshments should be accessible to everyone. Our café includes an accessible service counter and comfortable facilities, helping ensure all visitors can enjoy a welcoming experience during their visit.

Outdoor Swimming for Everyone
Our lido offers inclusive swimming opportunities and concessionary pricing to help make outdoor swimming accessible to more people. We continue to explore ways to improve accessibility and ensure the enjoyment of open-air swimming can be experienced by as many people as possible.
Changing Places Facility
Active Lifestyles is proud to provide Changing Places toilet and shower facilities in both centres. These specialist facilities offer additional space and equipment for people with more complex accessibility needs, helping visitors and their families enjoy our facilities with greater comfort and confidence.
Accessible Movement Around the Centre
We have incorporated a range of accessibility features throughout our buildings to support independent movement, including:
- Accessible lifts with Braille-equipped controls
- Lift buttons positioned within accessible reach ranges
- Stairways with contrasting step edges for improved visibility
- Continuous handrails to support safe navigation
These features help create a safer and more accessible environment for all visitors.
