Welcome to Stratford Park
Stratford Park is located just outside Stroud town in Gloucestershire and includes some 56 acres with grassy lawns, two children’s play areas, a lake and woodland.
Stratford Park is also home to a fantastic arboretum, which is free to explore. Its origins go back to the mid 1800C when Stratford House, now the Museum in the Park, was owned by the Watts family – Joseph Watts, a Stroud brewer from 1819 until 1855 and his grandson Joseph Watts Hallewell from 1855 until 1891.
Running through the park is a miniature railway, which is run and maintained by Stroud Society of Model Engineers. For a timetable of public running events please visit their website.
Stratford Park has a large and varied children’s play area for children between 4-11 years. Set on the large grass area at the front of the leisure centre, the area has climbing frames, slides, swings, runways, activity frames and springers. The play area is complimented with seating for adults and children, which makes the area ideal for family picnics or you could enjoy a cuppa and a snack at Stratford Perk cafe!
