Summer Picnic in the Park
This summer, Active Lifestyles (Stroud District) will be hosting a programme of four community events at Stratford Park, designed to bring residents together through a wide range of accessible, multigenerational activities.
Each event will offer a diverse mix of opportunities including multiports, tennis, croquet, yoga, arts and crafts, bubble football, mini golf and more! We will actively encourage families and residents to make a day of it, bringing a picnic, enjoying the park, and exploring the leisure centre and museum, both of which will be offering complementary activities.
DATE: 7, 14 21 & 28 August
TIMES: 10.00am – 4.00pm

To ensure these events are as inclusive and accessible as possible, many activities will be free to attend, with others available at very low cost.
We are also inviting local groups, charities and organisations to get involved by delivering free taster sessions or activities. This provides an excellent opportunity for partners to:
- Showcase their services
- Engage with new and diverse audiences
- Raise their profile within the local community
In return, we will promote participating organisations through our event marketing, provide space for promotional materials, and ensure visibility on the day.
We would also welcome interest from organisations wishing to host a stall or simply attend, as well as from local performers, community groups and emerging artists who may be interested in providing live music on the bandstand.
